Ethical Behaviors and Personal Values

 On the 16th day of June 2021, I had another teaching practicum at a primary level in the Year 3. I reached a primary campus at 7:45am with a lesson plan and required resources to be approved by the principal, then the school starts at 8:30am. There are 26 students in the Year 3 classroom and they all arrived on time. However, in my journal I will basically discuss on one of the contents of the NTSS, which is Ethical Behaviors and Personal Values.

The first thing I did, I tried to take the attention of students to engage in the lesson to make sure students focus on the outcomes of the learning. During the learning, I found that there are some struggling learners in the learning environment, however, I did not left them behind but to assist them in their learning. In addition, I walked around to facilitate the learning to gave them a chance for them to ask assistance if they need to. While assisting students, I tried to use different effective teaching strategies for them till they get the lesson objectives, for instance, using a small whiteboard for doing a clear explanation. Furthermore, in the learning process, however I did not use anything or did something that would scare and harm children while learning, honestly, children sometimes did negative behaviors in the learning environment but in order to be a model of good citizenship to students, I tried to introduce appropriate morals by every actions I made inside the classroom.

Moreover, I did one entertainment (back to the board) with them to let them love and value the advantages of having education. The main reason of doing this is that most of the time children wanted to play and if not, they could disturb the others instead. I did this as to respect their personal capability as well as their unique needs. Therefore, this teaching experience was so exciting to me because children were so interested and wanted to participate in the learning.

To conclude, I am convincing that all the ethical behaviors and personal values takes place in my teaching help addressed the weaknesses of students, especially in the learning, like appropriate moral values in the learning environment. However, this experience had given me good perspectives of being an ethical teacher in the future.
